Vintage-Schmaler Kameragurt mit Nähten

I had considered getting the Holdfast money maker before this and I’m glad I didn’t. It’s less than half the price and I’ve been blown away with the quality. It’s also incredibly comfortable, which I wasn’t expecting. I’ve used over 20 different straps from different brands and I can honestly say this is my favorite so far. The dual strap from BlackRapid is so much more “utilitarian,” while this one crosses over into something that’s fashionably attractive as well. It actually works better for me too. The BR strap requires the whole hanging strap to move with the camera when you pull it up to your eyes, so the balance of strap length and usability is harder to manage. This strap has the “looped” harness straps around your shoulders and then the separate camera “tether” strap which slides along it, but the camera therefore moves more independently up to your eye while the harness sits nicely, comfortably and tight enough on your body. I’m not sure if that explanation works, but I found it much easier to get a stable, comfortable fit on the harness with the cameras hanging at a good length, while they also easily meet up with my eye when shooting. The BR has “locks” but I don’t think they worked very well on the dual strap, and in use this Desired Leather strap works almost identically in how your cameras move while walking. You’ll want to keep a hand on at least one of them when moving around. The clips are so easy to use and so are the safety tethers, thankfully. They’re also leather, which is a nice touch for quality and attractiveness. I changed the clips on the end because I don’t keep the little dangling strap connections on my cameras, so I needed something which fit in the small holes on my camera more easily. A simple $1 fix though. Not sure if I hit on all the things I love about this strap but the bottom line is that it’s comfortable, works perfectly, it looks good and the quality is absolutely incredible for the price. From the time I purchased it it was made and shipped quickly, and I could not recommend it more. I absolutely can not imagine how the much more expensive holdfast strap could be any better. I can’t wait to use it for years to come, and I want to grab a mono strap as well.
