I’ve just put it together.. paired Desired leather dual harness sliders with peak design anchors…. haven’t yet used on a job.. but anticipate marriage made in heaven.

It’s great that the company recognizes many photographers use the Peak Design anchors. Fitting the sliders to the anchors was a simple affair; clear instructions were included. Just for extra security I applied a small drop of thread lock (loctite) to the screws (used to fix the leather in place).

I am so appreciative that your company thought all of us photographers who are invested in the Peak Design system. The design is great, but unfortunately my pair have some annoying execution issues. Specifically, while the top screws came off and then went back on very easily with a screwdriver, the bottom two screws did not screw back on easily on either pair and the replacement screws were no better.
After a lot of frustration I had to grab a pair of pliers to essentially create counter pressure because every time I turned the screwdriver the backing turned in the same direction as the screw. The pliers enabled me to tighten the backings, but the screws aren’t lying flush with the leather like the top screws. Thinking the issue may have been in how the holes were drilled into the leather.
So overall I love the concept, but the execution is frankly disappointing.

When I saw it the first time, I think it was amazing idea. Because I didn’t see such an idea in any other dual strap brand until now. I bought 2 pairs of sliders because I didn’t check it is sold in pairs. You don’t have to buy it like me. It is made very well, strong and fancy. One is enough to use. It is easy to set up by hanging peak design linker and tightening screw. Then you can connect peak design plate to anchor easily. But I want to be provided with safety strap like original slider. Then the slider will be much safer. If you use peak design products. I highly recommend it

Nice seeing love for the Peak Design System!
I wanted to replace my second set of sliders, which are holding a small bag on the rear of my harness. With the regular sliders, there was always the squeaking of metal when moving and the problems using the carabines on your back blind. Works like charm now 🙂
In my opinion they are very stiff and when using them with an actual camera, I would miss the security loop.

The Sliders work great! Technically one could use these to add whatever hardware you wanted. I use two per camera, they slide just fine. I would be interested in a slider that has two end off one metal slide for a cleaner look, and to have your camera attached with more than one contact point and a safety tether.
